Before Entering the Lavatory

بِسْمِ اللهِ ، اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Bismi-llāh, allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina-l-khubuthi wa-l-khabā’ith
In the Name of Allah. O Allah, I seek Your protection from the male and female devils.
Ma’ana: (Da sunan Allah) ya Allah lalle ne ina neman tsarinka daga sharrin aljanu maza da aljanu mata [1]

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “These waste areas are visited (by jinns), so when anyone of you enters, let him say: (the above).” (Abū Dāwūd 6, Ibn Ḥibbān 1408, Ibn Mājah 296)
