  2. Powerful Tunisian UGTT trade union calling for a national strike on 16 June to demand increase in wages. The union said all staff in the 159 state institutions and public companies will join the strike, a statement revealed.
  3. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a phone convo with his Senegalese counterpart Macky Sall on Tue (31 May) said Africa is one of the main priorities of Iranian foreign policy. President Raisi also congratulated President Sall on the African National Day.
