- The head of the Economic Commission of the Iranian Parliament Mohammadreza Pour-Ebrahimi has announced that Russia's President Vladimir Putin would visit Iran next week. Mr Mohammadreza said the Russian president would visit Tehran next week to discuss plans for the expansion of economic ties between Iran and Russia.
- US President Joe Biden landed in Israel on Weds July 13th as he embarks on his 1st visit to the Middle East since he assumed office. The US president will also visit Saudi Arabia, where he will have talks with Saudi officials and attend a summit of Gulf allies.
- The leader of Nigeria's ASUU Professor, Emmanuel Osodoke, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to meet with Professor Nimi Briggs-led Committee on negotiation, to update himself about the ongoing strike action embarked upon by the union since February this year. Professor Emmanuel Osedoke made these remarks on Tue (12 July) in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria.
- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has reiterated that Iran's stance on the 2015 nuclear deal still remains the same despite pressure from the US to shift ground. President Raisi made the remarks while addressing the Iranian Parliament on Wednesday (13 July).

- Nigeria's Defense HQ has dismissed allegations that the country's Department of State (DSS) informed the military about an impeding attack on Kuje Correctional Centre in the country's capital, Abuja. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quoted Director of Defence Information Jimmy Akpor saying the allegations by a former minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, that the DSS had informed the military about the Kuje attack was wild and unsubstantiated.
- 14 people have been confirmed dead or injured in attacks launched by the Saudi-led coalition in the Yemen's Sa'ada Region. Press TV said the death toll from the attack was likely to rise.
- Nigeria's ruling APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu announced Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate in the 2023 general elections. Reuters reported that Mr Tinubu said he had selected Shettima as his running mate because the former Borno State governor was competent, capable, and dependable.
- Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday (July 9th) told his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad in phone conversation that Iran strongly opposed foreign interference in Syria. According to Iran Press, President Raisi also stressed the need for implementing previous agreements between the two countries.
- Palestine's resistance Hamas group spokesperson Hazem Qassem has said the US president Joe Biden's trip to West Asia and the Occupied Palestinian Territories is a sinister trip and in favour of the Israeli regime. Mr Qassem added that the primary purpose of President Biden's trip to the region was to try to form a military coalition that would serve the interests of the Israeli regime.
