There are strong substances in grapefruit that remove impurities from the intestines and the rest of the body. It also contains Vitamin C, calcium and potassium, among others. These substances in grapefruit are extremely important for protecting the human body from contracting infections and heart ailments. Those who drink fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice regularly acquire protection against malarial fevers, because in it there is a substance called quinine, which is used in making anti-malaria medicine. In traditional medicine, grapefruit is used in many ways: It is taken as a tonic for increasing strength and energizing the body. It also helps with the digestion of food, so that a person’s body feels good while processing food. It also has a lot of ingredients that hasten urination. The important effects that grapefruit has on the human body include:
