The Shortest Most Powerful Prayer
Sayyiduna Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet came to the Prophet and asked:
"Ya Rasulallah, teach me a Du'à."
The Prophet said:
"O my uncle, say:
اللهم إني أسألك العافية
Allahumma inni as'alukal-āfiyah
(O Allah, I ask you for Afiyah)."
Now, what is Afiyah?
Afiyah means -
1. To save oneself from any afflictions.
2. To be healthy, one is in Afiyah.
3. To have enough money, one is in Afiyah. 4. To live, one is in Afiyah.
5. To have ones children protected is Afiyah.
6. And if one is forgiven and not punished, then he is in Ãfiyah."
"O Allah, protect me from any pain and suffering."
