dua/so long as you are not angry with me Ya Allah

From HausaDictionary.com | Hausa English Translations
(Redirected from dua/year of sadness)

“O Allah, to You I complain of my weakness and my humiliation before men (See this video and Quran/12/86). You are the Most Merciful of all those who have mercy. You are the Lord of the humble, and You are my Lord. To whom do you entrust me? To a stranger who receives me with hostility (i.e., the Chieftains of Ṭā’if), or to a close relative (i.e., the Quraysh) You have given power over me? As long as You are not angry with me, I do not care, but Your protection is easier for me. I seek refuge in Your Face by which all darkness is illuminated, and from which all the affairs of this world and the Hereafter are rightly guided. May it never be that I incur Your wrath or be subject of Your anger. It is Your right to criticise until You are content, and there is no power nor strength except through You.”

“O Allah! I complain to You of my weakness, my scarcity of resources, and the humiliation I have been subjected to by the people. O Most Merciful of those who are merciful. O Lord of the weak and my Lord too. To whom have you entrusted me? To a distant person who receives me with hostility? Or to an enemy to whom you have granted authority over my affair? So long as You are not angry with me, I do not care. Your Afiya is of more expansive relief to me. I seek refuge in the light of Your Face by which all darkness is dispelled and every affair of this world and the next is set right, lest Your anger or Your displeasure descends upon me. I desire Your pleasure and satisfaction until You are pleased. There is no power and no might except by You.”

O Allah, I place my complaint before You for my weakness, lack of means, and my insignificance in the eyes of people. O the Most Merciful of those who show mercy, to whom will You entrust me? To an enemy who will oppress me or to the hands of a sympathetic friend whom You have entrusted my affair? (O Allah,) if You are not displeased with me then I do not care for such things. Still, Your protection (afiya) will be the easier for me. [1]

  4. So how does one knows when/if Allah is satisfied or displeased with him based on the trials of this world? Is it a test or punishment? Is it based on having a good opinion of Allah (I am as my abd thinks of me)? There's also the concept that Allah tests those he love more. Probably the best thing to make dua for if not this one: O Allah, make/mold/fashion me into whom you want me to be.

  8. 2024.07.02 Tue “We are closer to them than their jugular vein.” [Qāf, 50:16] When those close to you hurt you the most, turn to the One who was the closest all along. [source] “No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah, He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.” 7=64:11 Ibn Kathir said about this verse: Whoever suffered an affliction, and he knew that it occurred by Allah’s Judgment and Decree, and he patiently abides, awaiting Allah’s reward, then Allah guides his heart, and will compensate him for his loss in this life by granting guidance to his heart and certainty in faith. Allah will replace whatever he lost for Him with the same or what is better. Ali ibn Abi Talhah reported from Ibn Abbas: “... and whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart.” Allah will guide his heart to certainty. Therefore, he will know that what reached him would not have missed him and what missed him would not have reached him.8 “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient who, when disaster strikes them, say, ‘Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.’ Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.” [pg 81 of yaqeen book on trauma] Your Lord Has Not Forsaken You: Addressing the Impact of Trauma on Faith By Najwa Awad, and Sarah Sultan https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-jKWGrKPzMbJauMuX3H5LYKIeBDNksNY/view?usp=sharing
