And We strengthened their hearts when they stood up and declared, “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Quran/8/11
إِذْ يُغَشِّيكُمُ ٱلنُّعَاسَ أَمَنَةً مِّنْهُ وَيُنَزِّلُ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً لِّيُطَهِّرَكُم بِهِۦ وَيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمْ رِجْزَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ وَلِيَرْبِطَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتَ بِهِ ٱلْأَقْدَامَ

Ith yughashsheekumu annuAAasa |
˹Remember˺ when He caused drowsiness to overcome you, |
A lokacin da (Allah) Yake rufe ku da gyangyaɗi, |
[ Remember ] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness |

amanatan minhu |
giving you serenity. (Note: This happened the night before the battle of Badr [1].) |
domin aminci daga gare Shi, |
[ giving ] security from Him |
3 |
wayunazzilu AAalaykum mina assama-imaan liyutahhirakum bihi |
And He sent down rain from the sky to purify you, |
kuma Yana saukar da ruwa daga sama, a kanku, domin Ya tsarkake ku da shi, |
and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you |

wayuthhiba AAankumrijza ashshaytani |
free you from Satan’s whispers, |
kuma Ya tafiyar da ƙazantar Shaiɗan daga barinku, |
and remove from you the evil [ suggestions ] of Satan |

waliyarbita AAalaquloobikum |
strengthen your hearts, |
kuma domin Ya ɗaure a kan zukatanku, |
and to make steadfast your hearts |
6 |
wayuthabbita bihi al-aqdam |
and make ˹your˺ steps firm. |
kuma Ya tabbatar da ƙafafu da shi. |
and plant firmly thereby your feet. |

— Transliteration
- ˹Remember˺ when He caused drowsiness to overcome you,
- giving you serenity. (Note: This happened the night before the battle of Badr [1].)
- And He sent down rain from the sky to purify you,
- free you from Satan’s whispers,
- strengthen your hearts,
- and make ˹your˺ steps firm.

Warabatna AAalaquloobihim ith qamoo faqaloo rabbunarabbu assamawati wal-ardilan nadAAuwa min doonihi ilahan laqad qulna ithanshatata — Transliteration
And We bound [i.e., made firm] their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression. — Saheeh International
