Tastamirru fī al-baḥthi ʿan as-salāmi fī umūri ad-dunyā,
|
You keep searching for peace in worldly matters:
|
You keep seeking peace in dunya things...
|
Kana ci gaba da neman salama a cikin abubuwan duniya.
|
tashtarī shay'an jadīdan tashʿuru bil-faraḥ,
|
you buy something new, feel joy,
|
You buy something new- feel good,
|
thumma yazūlu ash-shuʿūr.
|
then the feeling fades.
|
then the feeling fades.
|
Taḥṣulu ʿalā al-ihtimām, thumma ya'tī aṣ-ṣamt.
|
You gain attention, then silence comes.
|
You get attention- then silence.
|
Taṣilu ilā hadafin thumma taṭlubu al-mazīd,
|
You reach a goal, then ask for more —
|
You reach a goal- then want more.
|
ka'annaka taṣubbu fī kūbin mathqūb, mahmā sakabta yabqā yatasarrab.
|
as if you're pouring into a leaky cup. No matter how much you pour, it keeps leaking.
|
It's like pouring into a cup full of holes. No matter how much you pour in, it keeps leaking.
|
Taẓunnu idhā aṣlaḥtu hādhā sa-akūnu bikhayr,
|
You think, "If I fix this, I’ll be okay,"
|
You think, « Once I fix this, I’ll be okay »
|
thumma yankasiru shay'un ākhara.
|
then something else breaks.
|
But then something else breaks.

Hal sa'alta nafsaka yawman limādhā lā shay'a yabdū kāfiyan?
|
Have you ever asked yourself why nothing ever feels enough?
|
Have you ever asked yourself why? Why does nothing feel enough?
|
Li'annaka khuliqta li-akthar min hādhā — khuliqta lil-jannah.
|
It's because you were created for more than this — you were created for Paradise.
|
Because you were created for more than this. You were created for Jannah.
|
Anta tuṭāridu as-salāma fī ashya'in fāniyah,
|
You're chasing peace in fleeting things,
|
You're chasing peace in things that expire.
|
baynamā as-salāmu al-ḥaqīqī ya'tī mina al-abadī.
|
while true peace comes from the Eternal.
|
When real peace comes from the eternal.
|
Qāla Allāhu Taʿālā: "Alā bidhikri Allāhi taṭma'innu al-qulūb."
|
Allah the Exalted said: "Truly, it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts find rest."
|
Allah says: « Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find peace »
|
Dhālika al-farāghu laysa khalalan, bal ishārah anna qalbaka yashtāqu lil-ʿawda —
|
That emptiness is not a flaw but a sign — your heart longs to return,
|
That emptiness? It's not a flaw. It's a sign.
|
lan yatrukaka abadan.
|
and He will never abandon you.
|
That your heart is calling you back. Back to the one who never leaves.
|
Al-ʿawda ilā Allāh.
|
The return is to Allah.
|
Back to Allah.
