Al Fatiha (The Opening)
# Arabic Transliteration English Hausa
1 A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytani r-rajim I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed. Ina neman tsari da Allah daga shaiɗan mai la'ana.
2 Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Da sunan Allah, Mai rahama, Mai jin ƙai.
3 Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-ʿālamīn All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Dukkan godiya ta tabbata ga Allah, Ubangijin talikai.
4 Ar-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Mai rahama, Mai jin ƙai.
5 Māliki yawm id-dīn Master of the Day of Judgment. Mai mallakar ranar sakamako.
6 Iyyāka naʿbudu wa iyyāka nastaʿīn You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Kai kaɗai muke bauta wa, kuma Kai kaɗai muke roƙon taimako.
7 Ihdinā ṣ-ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm Guide us on the Straight Path. Ka shiryar da mu zuwa hanya madaidaiciya.
8 Ṣirāṭ alladhīna anʿamta ʿalayhim The path of those You have blessed, Hanyar waɗanda Ka yi wa ni'ima,
9 Ghayri l-maghḍūbi ʿalayhim wa lā ḍ-ḍāllīn Not of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray. Ba hanyar waɗanda Ka yi fushi da su ba, kuma ba hanyar ɓatattu ba.

Ayat al-Kursi (Qur’an 2:255)

5 Man dhā alladhī yashfaʿu ʿindahu illā bi-idhnih Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? Wa zai yi ceto a wurinSa sai da izininSa?
6 Yaʿlamu mā bayna aydīhim wa mā khalfahum He knows what is before them and what will be after them. Yana sanin abin da ke gabansu da abin da ke bayansu.
7 Wa lā yuḥīṭūna bishay’in min ʿilmihī illā bimā shāʾ And they encompass nothing of His knowledge except for what He wills. Kuma ba su iya samun wani abu daga iliminSa sai da abin da Ya so.
8 Wasiʿa kursiyyuhū s-samāwāti wa l-arḍ His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth. KursiyinSa ya mamaye sammai da ƙasa.
9 Wa lā yaʾūduhū ḥifẓuhumā And preserving them does not tire Him. Kuma kiyaye su bai gajiyar da Shi ba.
10 Wa Huwa al-ʿAliyyul-ʿAẓīm And He is the Most High, the Most Great. Shi ne Mafi Girma, Mafi Ƙarfi.

Suratul Ikhlas (Qur’an 112:1–4)

2 Wal-ḥamdu lillāh And all praise is for Allah. Dukkan godiya ta tabbata ga Allah.
3 Lā ilāha illā-llāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah There is no deity except Allah alone, without partner. Babu abin bautawa sai Allah shi kaɗai, babu abokin tarayya gare Shi.
4 Lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu To Him belongs the dominion and all praise. Shi ne Mai mulki kuma Shi ne abin godiya.
5 Wahuwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr And He is Able to do all things. Kuma Shi ne Mai iko akan komai.
6 Rabbi as’aluka khayra mā fī hādhā l-yawm wa khayra mā baʿdah My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what comes after it. Ya Ubangijina, ina roƙonKa alheri na wannan rana da na abin da ke bayanta.
7 Wa aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā fī hādhā l-yawm wa sharri mā baʿdah And I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what comes after it. Kuma ina neman tsari da Kai daga sharri na wannan rana da na abin da ke bayanta.
8 Rabbi aʿūdhu bika mina l-kasali wa sū’i l-kibar My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the afflictions of old age. Ya Ubangijina, ina neman tsari da Kai daga kasala da munanan halayen tsufa.
9 Rabbi aʿūdhu bika min ʿadhābin fī n-nār wa ʿadhābin fī l-qabr My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave. Ya Ubangijina, ina neman tsari da Kai daga azabar Wuta da azabar kabari.

Tasbīḥ (Glorification of Allah) — “Subḥānallāhi wa bi-ḥamdih”

📌 Reward: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says: Subḥānallāhi wa bi-ḥamdih 100 times a day, his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

Expanded glorification of Allah (22:53)

📌 This dhikr was reported in Sahih Muslim, where Juwayriyyah bint Al-Harith (RA) was told by the Prophet ﷺ that it surpassed hours of her earlier tasbih. This du’a was taught by the Prophet ﷺ to express immense, limitless praise of Allah ﷻ.

📌 When to recite: This is often recited after Fajr, and anytime you're seeking clarity, success in learning, or barakah in your daily efforts. This concise yet powerful du’a was often said by the Prophet ﷺ after Fajr and is a daily request for guidance, sustenance, and deeds that are accepted.
