1. A small orifice. e.g.

(a) kafar allura, the eye of a needle.

(b) kafar hanci, a nostril.

2. Opportunity, leisure. e.g.

(a) ban sami kafar zuwa ba, I had no opportunity to come.

(b) ba/ ni da k. ko 'i ta allura, I have no spare time, no leisure at all. (= dama II; zarafi.)

3. rigan nan tana da k., this gown is cheap. (Vide araha.)

4. (a) nna ganin kafar wa/ne, I hold so-and-so in contempt.

(b) ya/ ga kafa tasa, don haka ya raina shi, it was perceiving his shortcoming that made him despise him.
