Be gentle with yourself, soul.
You were first cradled in your mother’s womb—safe and fully contained in its warmth. So loved. So cared for from the beginning.
Then you came here, to this world of tests. And you fall, again and again. You reprimand your soul harshly when you err, and when you can’t be perfect. Which is all the time, isn’t it?
You wonder if He still loves you.
You wonder if you’ll be contained in His Mercy despite the great and gaping pain that this world has inflicted upon you. That you’ve inflicted upon yourself.
Is He going to love you, still?
When you return to Him, is He going to welcome you with the same gentle warmth you found in the womb?
You want to believe that He will love you always. And you whisper up to the sky, up to Him, “I believe in You. I am a believer.”
He already knows you are. But you’re reminding yourself. And as the verbal affirmation enters your chest, you remember where you came from: from love.
And you hope that you’ll also return to a place of love.
Be gentle with yourself, soul. He wants to love you. He made you, didn’t He? You are not a mistake.
Believe that it is enough that you try your best, and that you worship Him. Even when it is haphazard, unanchored, flawed.
He wants to love you, to accept you, to hold you close.

Being creatures of connection, our hearts long to be heard and seen. This is a natural need and one that is very important for our holistic wellness. A heart that feels seen and heard thrives and grows beautifully, like a plant that is well attended to. There is a GREAT spiritual, psychological, and healing power in a soul feeling seen and heard: We can see this when a child feel seen and heard by his/her parent, when a husband feels seen and heard by his wife (or vice versa), when a community member feels seen and heard by their community leaders, or when one feels seen and heard by a friend. Feeling seen and heard, or its lack of, has a significant impact! But if there is such great power in being seen and heard by another human being, imagine then the power of truly feeling seen and heard by The Creator, The Lord of All Worlds, by the King of kings, by the Greatest, the Most Loving, and the Most Compassionate? How many of us are connected to that power and truth? God tells us throughout the Qur'an that He is Asamee3, Al-Baseer! He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing! He who created us, knows our psychology, what we need, and how important it is for us to feel heard and seen. He teaches you about Who He is so that your heart is connected to Him hearing you and seeing you in all your conditions in this world. Regardless of what you are going through, where you are, or how you feel, know that you are ALWAYS under His loving, watchful eye. And you are ALWAYS heard by Him. He teaches you His names so you know that your pain is heard and seen. Your grief in this world is heard and seen. Your tears are heard and seen. The words you don't share with anyone are heard and seen. The heart-break that feels so heavy to carry every day is heard and seen. Your efforts that noone notices are heard and seen. Your dreams are heard and seen. Your STORY, your past, your struggles from the day you were born until now have all been heard and seen! There is nothing about YOU that goes unnoticed by your Creator. Open your heart to this truth today and let it be sufficed by Him seeing you and hearing you. There is no greater validation to receive in this world.❤
